1. Defence Minister Calls For Suspension Of Anti-Grazing Law

The Minister of Defence, Mansur Dan-Ali, during a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday, recommended the suspension of the controversial anti-grazing law in some States. The law is operational in Benue, Taraba and Ekiti states where clashes between herdsmen and farmers have led to loss of lives.

2. National Assembly Holds Buhari Accountable For Police IG’s Actions

Federal lawmakers on Tuesday said President Muhammadu Buhari must be held accountable for the actions of the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris. This was part of a five-point resolution made at a Joint Executive Session of the National Assembly on Tuesday.

There was a silent scream in Masala town in Ndola, Zambia, after a girl believed to be dead and buried two years ago returned to her parent’s home on Monday. Zambian press learnt that the girl, identified as Winnie, died after an illness and her body was first taken to a morgue before a proper funeral and interment was reportedly conducted for her.

6. Reps Collecting Signatures To Impeach Buhari, Claims Kazaure

A House of Representatives member Muhammadu Kazaure (Jigawa-APC) has disassociated himself from an alleged National Assembly plan to impeach President Muhammadu Buhari. A joint executive session of both chambers earlier on Tuesday passed a 12-point condition for the president to address urgently or face the invocation of the powers of the legislature.

7. Omokri Slams Saraki, Dogara For Threatening To Impeach Buhari

Former presidential aide Reno Omokri has condemned Senate President Bukola Saraki and Speaker Yakubu Dogara for disclosing their intention to impeach President Muhammadu Buhari. The National Assembly at a joint session, on Tuesday, threatened to invoke its powers against the President if nothing was done to end the ongoing ”harassment and humiliation of perceived political opponents by the police.”

Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the forthcoming Ekiti State election, Dr Kayode Fayemi, has revealed that God’s intervention saved him and the others from being killed on Friday at a rally organised in his honour.

9. Outgoing APC Chairman Oyegun Trying To Destroy Party – Okorocha

Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo state has alleged that the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), John Odigie-Oyegun, is trying to destroy the ruling party. The governor said that Oyegun had taken the party backward by several kilometres to the extent that presently there is no state where the party does not have crisis or faction.

The Lagos State Police Command says it has arrested three policemen caught gambling on duty. They were caught playing Baba Ijebu lotto at Ikeja. According to reports on social media, the policemen were allegedly counting bribe money collected from motorists but the authorities denied this.
