1. Army Finds Missing General’s Vehicle In Plateau Pond
The Nigerian army has found the vehicle belonging to Idris Alkali, a retired major general who has been missing for weeks. The Army announced the discovery on the micro-blogging site, Twitter on Saturday evening. According to a tweet by the Army, the black Corolla with plate number MUN-670AA was found in a pond in Lafendeg Du community in Jos South local government area, Plateau state, northern Nigeria.
2. More Trouble For Ambode As 36 Lawmakers Back Sanwo-Olu Ahead Of Primary
Thirty six of the 40 members of the state House of Assembly have pulled their support behind the governorship ambition of Babajide Sanwo-Olu ahead of Sunday’s governorship primary of the All Progressives Congress in Lagos. Sanwo-Olu is gunning for the governorship ticket of the party with the incumbent governor, Akinwunmi Ambode. A statement by Musbau Rasaq, media aide to the House Speaker, Mudashiru Obasa, said the decision was taken after a parliamentary meeting held on Saturday.

Making her new party on Twitter, Alhassan said she left the APC with all local government party leaders as well as seven state lawmakers.
