[Entertainment] Governor Of Minnesota Declares ‘Wizkid Day’ In United States (Watch Video)



Governor Mark Dayton of Minnesota, a state in the US, has declared October 6 as Wizkid Day, to celebrate Nigerian pop superstar, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid.
The Minnesota governor cited several historic feats made by the Starboy record label boss in the proclamation.

Some of the achievements recorded by Wizkid include making a Billboard number one hit ‘One Dance’ with Drake; selling out at the O2 Arena London, walking the runway with Dolce and Gabbana and recently becoming the first African artiste to sell out the Skyway Theatre Minneapolis.
Concise News understands that the Nigerian singer and songwriter is the first African artiste to have a day named after him in the State.
Wizkid has arguably become Nigeria’s greatest export in recent times. October 6 was named after him at the #MadeInLagos concert held in Minnesota.
