TET Fund Converts Fedpoffa Lecturer’s Ph.D Thesis To Textbook For Use In Nigerian Tertiary Institutions



The Board of trustees of Tertiary Education Trust Fund ( TETFund ) has approved the conversion of Ph.D Thesis of Dr. Sunday Asakpa of Computer Science Department of the institution into a textbook for use in Nigeria tertiary institutions.

The Thesis titled, ‘Development of Visual Cryptography System for Ear Biometric Template Security’ was found to be extremely one of the best Ph.D theses from institutions in Nigeria and abroad.

This was contained in a letter signed by TETFund Ag. Director of Education Support Services, S.K Okunlola on behalf of the Executive Secretary to notify the Polytechnic on decision of TETFund to convert the Ph.D Thesis to a book. The part of the letter reads:

” I am glad to inform you that the thesis of Dr. Asakpa Sunday Ogheneruemu in your Polytechnic has been recommended by the Committee for conversion into a book. Two thousand (2,000) copies of the book will be published and distributed free; one thousand ( 1,000) copies to tertiary institutions in Nigeria while one thousand (1,000) copies will also be given to Dr. Asakpa.”

“I wish to congratulate Dr. Asakpa and your Polytechnic for this achievement.”

Meanwhile, the Rector, Dr. Lateef Olatunji on behalf of the Management, staff and students applauded Dr. Asakpa and described his achievement as a rare feat.

Dr. Olatunji further encouraged the staff and students of the polytechnic to continue with the legacy built on academic excellence while the Management will not relent in creating enabling environment for research and development.
