1. Herdsmen Attack Benue Church, Kill Two Priests, 17 Others

Suspected armed herdsmen on Tuesday attacked St. Ignatius’ Catholic Church in Ayar-Mbalom community of Gwer East Local Government Area of Benue State, allegedly killing two Catholic priests and 17 other worshipers. The armed men reportedly stormed the church during an early morning mass. It was gathered that the attackers also burnt down over 100 houses during the attack and sacked the entire community.

2. Dino Melaye Hospitalised After Jumping Out Of Moving Vehicle

Senator Dino Melaye on Tuesday jumped out of a police moving vehicle conveying him to Kogi state and ran into a thick bush, thereby suffering neck injury. Concise News understands the senator has been taken to Zanklin Hospital in Abuja. It was gathered that police operatives had also jumped out of the vehicle and gave the fleeing lawmaker a hot chase.

3. Armed Policemen Storm Hospital, Re-Arrest Dino Melaye

The Nigerian police have re-arrested embattled Senator Dino Melaye (APC-Kogi West) at an Abuja hospital where he was taken to after he jumped from a police vehicle. They stormed the premises and enquired to know where Melaye was being treated. They also demanded those walking around to identify themselves.

4. Police Move Dino Melaye To National Hospital, IGP Orders Probe

Operatives of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) have moved Senator Dino Melaye (APC-Kogi West) out of hospital in an ambulance marked NPF 221 D. Melaye was moved out at about 9:21pm by men of the Nigeria Police on a stretcher into a police ambulance and driven to National Hospital, Abuja.

5. PDP Condemns FG’s Allege Assault On National Assembly

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has condemned the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led Federal Government over its alleged assault of the National Assembly, particularly the Senate. The PDP alleged that the assault is aimed at silencing strong dissenting voices and preventing the national assembly from playing its constitutional duties of checking the excesses and impunity of the executive arm.

6. Incest: 50-year-old Man Accuses Daughter Of ‘Rape’

Taiwo Oyelabi, a 50-year-old man has accused his 21-year-old daughter of raping him after she was confirmed to be five months pregnant for him. Oyelabi, a private security guard, who resides in Community Road, Obadore, Alimosho area of Lagos state, made this accusation following incestuous claims.

7. Benue Church Killings: Residents Visit Hospital, Shed Tears (Video)

Benue residents on Tuesday trooped to Bishop Murray Medical Centre, Makurdi, capital of Benue state, to catch a glimpse of the dead after an attack on St. Ignatius’ Catholic Church in Ayar-Mbalom community. The residents, who could not fight back tears as they recollected how the suspected attacked the church during an early mass.

8. Osinbajo Laments Religious Killings In Nigeria

The Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, has regretted killings of clerics and bombings of Mosques and Churches, describing it as the highest level of wickedness. He spoke on Tuesday at the inauguration of the new auditorium of the Deeper Life Bible Church Headquarters in Gbagada, Lagos state.

9. Tinubu Stops Lagos APC Leadership From Seeking Re-election

The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Tuesday banned members who had spent a minimum of eight years as a ward, council and state executive members from seeking re-election in its May congresses. The APC leader noted that the directive was to allow new people occupy party offices at the ward, local government and state levels with a view to taking the APC to the next level in the state.

10. Oshiomhole Gets Buhari’s Nod To Become APC National Chairman

Former Edo State Governor Adams Oshiomhole, has received a massive boost in his quest to unseat John Odigie-Oyegun as the National Chairman of APC as the majority of the governors elected on the platform of the ruling party are backing him. The governors, led by Progressives Governors Forum Chairman Rochas Okorocha, at a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Aso Villa last night, proposed to the President their interest in the former labour leader. It was gathered through sources at the meeting that the President did not object to the request.

11. Trump Hosts Macron, Describes Iran Deal As Insane

US President Donald Trump has described the Iran nuclear deal as “a disaster” and “insane” as he hosted French President Emmanuel Macron at the White House on Tuesday. The US leader groused that the accord — inked three years ago by the United States, Iran, Europe, Russia and China — does nothing to tackle Tehran’s ballistic missiles programme or support for militant groups across the Middle East.

Super Eagles captain Mikel Obi has said the team will give the pre-World Cup friendly with England all the seriousness it deserves. The game is billed for June 2 at Wembley Stadium, London. “There will be no option for us other than to give our best with the Fifa World Cup fast approaching,” Mikel was quoted as saying on Tuesday on the website of the Nigeria Football.
