1. Ali Modu Sheriff Finally Returns To APC

The All Progressive Congress (APC) in Borno state has finally received former Borno State Governor Sen. Ali Modu Sheriff into the party. Sheriff, who was received by his political godson and once arch-rival, the state Governor, Kashim Shettima, at a stakeholders meeting in Government House in Maiduguri on Friday, said he has forgiven all.

2. Appeal Court Gives FG Go-ahead To Extradite Senator Kashamu To US



The Court of Appeal on Friday granted the request of the federal government to extradite Senator Prince Buruji Kashamu (PDP-Ogun East) to the United States of America (USA) to face trial in a drug related offence. The court voided and set aside all orders made by a federal high court between 2014 and 2017 restraining the government from proceeding with the extradition.

3. Court Orders Police To Move Dino Melaye To Abuja Hospital


The Kogi State High Court sitting in Lokoja has ordered that Senator Dino Melaye (APC-Kogi West) be moved to the National Hospital Abuja, for further treatment. Justice Nasir Ajanah, the trial judge, gave the order on Friday after the lawmaker’s counsel, Mike Ezekhome (SAN) sought for his bail. This is coming barely 24 hours after Melaye appeared before a Senior Magistrates Court in Kogi state, on a stretcher.

The Nigerian police declared wanted four of the gangsters who participated in the bloody bank robbery incidents in Offa on 4 April, releasing also their clearest images. He said the figure was nowhere near the N100 billion as alleged by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
