Soccer fans in the country have rued the Super Eagles inability to move to the second round of the 2018 World Cup after Argentina got a late winner on Tuesday.

Nigeria were on the verge on making it to the second round of the competiton with the game tied at 1-1.

However, Marcos Rojo broke the heart of Nigerians as he scored with five minutes to the end of the game.

And some of the fans who took to Twitter said the team played well but should have held on till the last minute.

Some of them also blamed striker Odion Ighalo for not converting two clear chances to seal the game at the death.
