1. Buhari Deploys Fighter Jets, Troops To Hunt Bandits In Zamfara

The Federal Government has assembled a 1000-strong military force to launch fierce attacks on the bandits terrorising the villages and towns of Zamfara State. This followed a directive by President Muhammadu Buhari. The force consists men of the Nigerian Army, Nigerian Air Force, Nigeria Police, and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).

2. How Saraki Betrayed Buhari, APC – Senator Adamu

Senator Abdullahi Adamu has said Senate President Bukola Saraki betrayed the ruling All Progressives Congress and would have been chased out of the party’s caucus meeting if he had showed up. Adamu alleged that Saraki betrayed President Muhammadu Buhari just as the Red Chamber was fond of opposing and sabotaging the government.

3. INEC Raises Concerns Over Funding Of 2019 Elections


The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is worried over funding of the 2019 general election. This is as a result of the non-consideration and approval of the 2019 election fund requests sent to the National Assembly before the Senate went on recess until September, 2018.

4. Saraki Called Dino Melaye ‘Clown’ – Sen. Adamu

Senator Abdullahi Adamu has revealed that Senate President Bukola Saraki once told him that Senate Dino Melaye was a “clown”. Adamu, a former governor of Nasarawa State, revealed that Saraki said Melaye deserved to be used and forgotten about.

5. Buhari Never Wanted Tinubu Alliance – R-APC

The Chairman of the Reformed All Progressives Congress (R-APC), Buba Galadima, has revealed that President Muhammadu Buhari never wanted to have anything to do with former Lagos state governor Bola Tinubu. Galadima claimed he was the brain behind the alliance between the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) and the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), against Buhari’s wishes.

6. Two More Governors May Leave APC For PDP – Keyamo

The spokesperson for the campaign organisation for the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari, Festus Keyamo, has said two more APC Governors might leave the party soon. In a statement released on Sunday, he said the defections from the ruling party at the national assembly and Benue state would not dim Buhari’s chances of being reelected in 2019.

7. Ortom Reveals Why He Is Being ‘Persecuted’

Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue state, on Sunday, said that the Federal Government and his former political party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), are ”persecuting” him because he refused to surrender Benue land to Fulani herdsmen. He alleged that the agenda of the invaders was not for grazing but to take over the land from the real owners.  Stressing that he would never be party to such evil agenda, Ortom reassured the people of the state of his administration’s commitment to protecting their interests.

8. Corrupt Lawmakers Dumped APC  – El-Rufai

Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State has alleged that some lawmakers left the ruling  All Progressives Congress (APC) because they thought President Buhari may arrest and prosecute them. The governor said Buhari disliked corruption and would never work with any corrupt politician. He said: “Why did these people (senators) leave APC? It’s because they love bribe and were afraid of what President Muhammadu Buhari will do to them if he gets re-elected. This is just the truth.

9. Buhari Will Call To Congratulate Me As President – Moghalu

Presidential aspirant on the platform of the Young Peoples Party (YPP), Kingsley Moghalu, is confident that he will emerge the next president of Nigeria in 2019. The former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) declared that he looks forward to President Muhammadu Buhari’s call of congratulations to him after the election. According to the financial expert, who stated this while addressing a town hall meeting in Kaduna, the need to change the present administration is imperative.

10. NFF To Offer Retired Carl Ikeme Eagles Job

Retired Super Eagles goalkeeper Carl Ikeme would be offered a job as an assistant coach of the side, the Nigeria Football Federation said on Sunday. General Secretary of the football house Mohammed Sanusi says the NFF will offer Ikeme coaching education as a goalkeeper trainer and then absorb him into the team’s technical crew.
