Osun free train service: over 140,00 people have benefited -Alagbada

Osogbo,Osun state.

Over one hundred and forty thousand people have benefitted from the free train service provided by Osun state government for  indigene and non indigene residing in Lagos and Ogun state since the beginning of this administration.

Osun state Commissioner for industries,commerce and cooperatives, Mr Ismail Alagbada made this known in osogbo terminal upon the arrival of the  train that conveyed people from Lagos to osogbo.

Mr Alagbada said the initiative has not only saved the beneficiaries cost of transportation during the yuletide season but also offered a more secure route for commuters.

According to him, the recent FRSC report attested to the fact that  Osun state government free train initiative has reduced accident drastically on Lagos Ibadan expressway.

Mr Alagbada  noted that Governor Rauf Aregbesola remained committed to making life more  bearable for the citizens.

At this year Eld el kabir preparation, many passengers could not make the trip with train provided by by the state government as a result of large turnout at Ido terminus in Lagos,but the state Government promise to convey them to osogbo on Monday 20th.

 Some of the beneficiaries lauded the state government for the gesture,urging the incoming government to continue the programme.
