[Sport News] Former Chelsea Manager Appointed China Coach



Former Chelsea manager Guus Hiddink has been appointed as coach of China’s U-21 football team, the Chinese football body announced on Monday.
Hiddink has a task of ensuring the Asian country qualified for the 2020 Olympics in neighbouring Tokyo, Japan.
The 71-year-old Dutch becomes the latest big name coach to move to China since the country’s president, Xi Jinping, stated his desire for the nation to become a global football power.
Italian Marcello Lippi is currently preparing the senior team for the finals of the Asian Cup in the United Arab Emirates in January.
Top coaches such as Luiz Felipe Scolari, Fabio Capello, Manuel Pellegrini and Andre Villas Boas, have also had stints with clubs in the Chinese Super League.
