Effective Sensitization: A Crucial Tool In Nation Building.

The ENTREPRENEURSHIP PERSPECTIVE, an entrepreneurship development and sensitization project was yesterday, Wednesday 20th of June, 2018 launched with the first edition of the hand-bill. The programme, supported by The Rotaract Club Of Federal Polytechnic Offa, Junior Chambers International, and LEO Club of Federal Polytechnic, Offa kwara state recorded a success at Anglican Comprehensive College, Offa Kwara State. The programme featured short words of admonition and distribution of the hand-bills.

Speaking at the event, RTR. Ayeni Samuel urged students to set brilliant goals so as to have a better future and nation. He charged them to have a positive mind towards building a crime-free society and a friendly environment that fully support intellectual activities. He described the current situation of the nation as a result of false and wrong conception against the development of individuals and charged students to always look for ways to help each other grow academically and in other ways that can promote peace and effective growth of the nation at large.

Also speaking at the event, the coordinator of a students forum in the school of engineering, CMR. Balogun Ismail explained the reason for poor growth of the nation to be wrong aspirations and mindset of students. He said, the future starts now that we all have the chances to decide how we wish to live, adding that whatever decisions made today speaks about the future. He also added that not all people would turn out to be rich monetarily or own big firms, but we can help ourselves grow through sharing our wealth of knowledge with others, and through this, industrious individuals would not be stranded. He gave a kudos to the 'brain' behind the concept, adding that many would discover who exactly they are when they are being sensitized.

'Bayo Kehinde, a stakeholder in a students forum also added that he has been a good friend with the Leader of the crew and recommend his kind of spirit for young people. He said " i am happy that this project has come to stay, Ife has never relented in getting this programme launched to the outside world, i was with him during the preparation for this project and can tell that it takes a person with the willingness to serve humanity to hold on to this beautiful day despite the unencouraging environment." He added that having a good aspiration for life is not compulsorily till students finishes their service year, but the earlier the better so as to amend faulty areas on time.

A teacher in the school, on behalf of the school management gave a kudos to the the project and urged students to lay their hands properly on their academics and things that would make them a better person in the future.

In the conversation with the founder of the concept, ROTR.Sumbo Ife Babalola, he gave thanks to God almighty, friends and senior associates that believed in the actualization of the programme and explained that the project is meant to revive people's mind towards building a better nation. He said "people knows what to do, but how and why to do it seems to be the problem". He added that everyone have one skill or the other to fetch them returns, but many have established limitations for themselves and the society by not thinking of how to liberate others. He furthered that Employment, Engagement, Enlightenment and Empowerment are the keys to constantly develop a nation. " When i talk about entrepreneurship, i don't mean that everyone   i don't mean everyone should go out and establish big big firms, but with the little industrious beings in the society, many would be employed, some engaged and the level of dependency reduced. More than creating easy-to-crash businesses, talented people and professionals can join hands together to import innovation into various sectors". He said " if you couldn't pioneer a business, you can compete it or make provisions for its sustainability and enlargement. This simply defines you to be an entrepreneur, for they are leaders or supporters of vision". He however said that the Entrepreneurship Perspective programme in meant to expand the context of Entrepreneurship to affect areas such as; business, academics, and security, etc. He concluded that it is when the number of people that is working tirelessly to change the society exceeds that of saboteurs that the POLITICAL WILL would support national development.

The founder of the concept is a writer, dramatist and a student of Computer Engineering at The Federal Polytechnic Offa Kwara State. He is the current Club Secretary of Rotaract Club Federal Polytecnic Offa Chapter for Rotary Making A Differnce year.
