[Sport News] Bayern Munich vs Real Madrid: Zidane Insists Future Not Dependent On Winning Champions League
Real Madrid manager, Zinedine Zidane, has insisted that his future at the Spanish club, does not depend on winning the Champions League this season.
Zidane has won European titles in his first two seasons, making the LaLiga side the first ever to win the competition consecutively in its current format.
Real go into Tuesday’s semi-final second leg against Bayern Munich with a 2-1 advantage, but their domestic struggles have led to speculation surrounding Zidane’s future.
“My future is not depending on what happens in the Champions League.
“You all know I am the coach now and I want to continue, but this is not the most important thing at the moment.
“We are going to try to win the game against Bayern. That’s the objective.
“We are not going to speculate, defend, or any similar strange things… we have to try to score quickly.
“In La Liga, Barcelona are the clear dominant force. They were deserved champions. We have to congratulate them.
“They have won two trophies and it’s a great season for them, but now we are just thinking about reaching the final,” Zidane said at his press conference on Monday.
