1. Police Invite Saraki For Offa Robbery Questioning

The police have asked Senate President Bukola Saraki to report at their Intelligence Response Team (IRT) on Tuesday. According to the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, Saraki was invited in connection with the investigation of Offa robbery incident which resulted in the death of many people. Saraki is expected to report to the head of the IRT team by 8am to make further clarification.


2. Saraki Says Police Invitation ‘Mere Political Game’


Senate President Bukola Saraki says his invitation by the police over the Offa bank robbery is tied to politics. Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, had said Saraki was invited in connection with the investigation of Offa robbery incident which resulted in the death of many people. But Saraki, one of the top members of the ruling All Progressives Congress unhappy with the leadership of the party, said there was more to the invite.

3. Oshiomhole, APC Scared Of Us, Says PDP

The opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has described the National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole, fake. The PDP was reacting to the former Edo state governor’s remark that there was no man of honour, who left the PDP because of its alleged crimes against Nigeria, that would want to return to there. The PDP, through its national spokesman, Kola Ologbondiyan, said that both Oshiomhole and the leadership of his party had become scared of the PDP due to planned defection.

4. PDP Sets Up Panel To Consider Name Change

National Executive Committee of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has set up a committee to consider the possibility of changing the party’s name before the 2019 general election. Spokesman for the party Kola Ologbondiyan told reporters in Abuja the party had constituted a committee on harmonisation.

5. Kashamu Reacts To Expulsion By PDP

Senator Buruji Kashamu has described his expulsion from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as “irrational,” “ill-advised” and “null and void.” Kashamu, on Monday, with three others, were expelled from the party after a National Executive Council (NEC) emergency meeting in Abuja.

6. Fr. Mbaka Reveals Imminent Disaster In Nigeria

Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministry, Enugu, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, has warned President Muhammadu Buhari and federal lawmakers of an impending disaster in Nigeria. The cleric made this known in his sermon at the Adoration Ground on Sunday. According to him, a day would come when there will be means to leave but there will be no one to leave. To avert the danger, Mbaka advised Buhari to travel to Rome to seek God’s forgiveness for the blood of men of God and innocent men, women and children killed under his watch.

7. Bishop Oyedepo Asks Buhari To ‘Get Out Of Office’

One of Nigeria’s renowned clerics Bishop David Oyedepo has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to resign because of the incessant killings by militant herdsmen. The founder of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, aka Winners’ Chapel, made this call in a YouTube video posted by the church’s official page.

8. R-APC Chairman, Son Escape Death

Chairman of the Reformed All Progressives Congress (r-APC) Buba Galadima alongside his son and two others on Monday, survived a car accident. Concise News understands that the incident took place as Galadima was returning from Yobe State where he had gone to condole with his brother who lost his daughter. The accident was said to have taken place along Hadeija-Kano road with the Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV), which Galadima was travelling in, somersaulting many times.

9. Fire Guts Gov. Aregbesola’s Office

Fire on Monday gutted the office of the Osun State Governor, Rauf Aregbesola, at the State Secretariat, Osogbo. According to reports, the fire started from an air conditioner inside the governor’s office, but the governor was not around. A source said the fire, which started around 4pm, was devastating because the security doors leading to the office could not be opened as the fire raged.

10. Pinnick-Led NFF Returns To Office

President of the Nigeria Football Federation Amaju Pinnick has confirmed his return to the body’s office in Abuja. Pinnck was restored to office on Monday following a directive from the Federal Government which ejected Chris Giwa from the office. General Secretary of NFF Muhammed Sanusi said, “I am back to my office to assume my legal responsibilities with a clearance from the government.”
