This thread is open to everybody in Osun State, particularly in Ife North, Ife South, Orolu and Osogbo LGAs, who is participating in one way or another during the election. Voters, observers, officials are encouraged to use the comment form below to report activities at the various polling unit and collation centres.

8:00pm: And he announces the results.

5:15pm: The PDP candidate, Adeleke, has rejected the results of today’s re-run election in four local government areas in the state even before the official announcement and declaration by INEC.
4:57pm: At Ward 5, unit 17, APC got the better of PDP by winning 299 to 165 votes.
4:50pm: PDP wins at Ward 9 Unit 3, Gbogbo Primary School, in Orolu local government area. The party got 64 votes to beat the APC, which polled 41, according to INEC officials.
4:45pm: At Ward 10, Polling Unit 2 in Ife North local government area, APC got 126 votes while the PDP polled 2
4:15pm: The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared the All Progressive Congress (APC) as winner of Polling Unit 012 in Olode Ward of Ife South.

4:00pm: APC Wins In Ife South.
3:42pm: At Polling Unit 12, Ward 7 in Ife South, votes are being counted.
3:40pm: Vote has been concluded at Polling Unit 1, Ward 8 in Ife South.
3:30pm: Counting of votes has commenced in Orolu.
3:00pm: Voting was scheduled to end at 2:00pm across Orolu, Osogbo, Ife-North and Ife South local government areas, but voting is still on at some Polling Units.
2:50pm: In Osogbo, at least 20 electorates are remaining as counting of ballots is about to begin.
2:30pm: The Resident Electoral Commissioner in Osun, Segun Agbaje, visits Ward 5, Unit 17 in Osogbo to observe the electoral process.

1:37pm: The Independent National Electoral Commission has information. The body says that all issues of accredited journalists and observers not being allowed to cover the election have been resolved. The electoral umpire made this known in a tweet a few minutes ago.
1:34pm: Busted! Security operatives have nabbed a party agent with money in his possession. He was said to be attempting to give money to voters in a building around Ward 5, Polling Unit 17 in Osogbo.

1:30pm: Voting is about to come to an end at Ward 5, Polling Unit 17 in Orolu even as security operatives are occupying strategic positions around the area.
1:10pm: We understand that voting has stopped at a Polling Unit in Adereti Village, Ife South local government area of the state.

1:05pm: Meanwhile, voting has ended in some polling units in Osogbo, the state capital.
1:00pm: Election is also taking place on a hill in Ife South.

12:50pm: Normalcy has returned to Polling Unit in Osogbo where policemen fired gunshots in the air to disperse a crowd.

12:30pm: Reports from Polling Unit in Kajola village, Orolu, say thugs have prevented perceived PDP supporters from entering to vote.

12:00pm: PDP members have allegedly been denied access by security operatives at the Polling Unit in Orolu local government area. Meanwhile, voting is ongoing in the area.
11:35am: Thugs have taken over Polling Unit in Orolu local government area in spite of the heavy presence of policemen.
11:33am: INEC officials are waiting for more voters to turn up at Ward 7, Polling Unit 12 in Ife South.
11:30am: Police appear not to be fully alert as their operatives have apprehended some thugs causing tension at the polling unit in Osogbo, the state capital. Meanwhile, the turnout is appreciable.
11:20am: We reported earlier that a man was arrested in Osogbo. Here is more on the report. The man was caught with money trying to buy votes.
11:00am: Voting has been peaceful at Ward 7, Polling Unit 12 in Ife South. It is understood that there are are no PDP agents there.
10:50am: The INEC says they are disturbed about reports that accredited media and observers are being arrested or prevented from operating in some polling units.
10:40am: Voting is ongoing at Ward 7, Polling Unit 12 in Ife South area of the state. It was learned that about 30 persons are waiting to vote. According to Situation Room,
the road to the PU that was previously blocked has been re-opened for free movement of commuters.
10:24am: A man is reported to have been arrested in one of the polling units in Osogbo for attempting to vote with a ‘fake’ voter card.

9:30am: Concise News understands that one Rukayat Amodu, an observer accredited by the Independent National Electoral Commission, reportedly arrested by the police on her way to Orolu LGA and sent back after release, is now at Ward 5 Unit 17 in Osogbo.

9:28am: A tweet from Election Monitor alleges that accredited observers were arrested and later released and asked to return to their homes.
9:43am: Reports from Idiya, Ward 8, Unit 1, in Orolu local government area say that voters are being driven away by hoodlums. It was learned that they have taken refuge at the palace of Olufon of Ifon-Orolu.
9:20am: Voting has commenced in the four local government areas. It began at exactly 8:00am.
8:55am: Voters at Adewunmi street Unit 17 ward 05 in the state capital are already set for INEC.

8:00am: We can report the presence of heavy security operatives at Ward 5 Unit 17 in Osogbo as voters await the commencement of accreditation and voting.

The people of Osun are already out as electorates in four local government areas of the southwest state are on the verge of deciding the next governor of the state between Senator Ademola Adeleke of the PDP and Gboyega Oyetola of the APC.
