1. Arewa Youths Reveal What Buhari Should Do Before 2019
The Arewa Youth Consultative Forum has advised President Muhammadu Buhari to sign the ‘Not too Young to Run’ bill and quit his position before the 2019 elections. The National President of the ACF Yerima Shettima said this in reaction to Buhari’s Democracy Day broadcast. Buhari had said he would sign the bill as part of the process to amend the 1999 Constitution.
2. Buhari Tasks Governors, Voters Ahead 2019 Elections
President Muhammadu Buhari has called on Nigerians not to hesitate to vote for candidates of their choice as the 2019 general election draws nearer with each passing day. The President made this known on Tuesday evening in Abuja while breaking fast with members of the judiciary.
3. Stop Giving Ridiculous Excuses, End Senseless Killings – Atiku Tells Buhari
Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar has called on the President Muhammadu Buhari administration to stop giving excuses and end the killings in Nigeria. In a statement on Tuesday, to commemorate Democracy Day, Atiku said the history of Somalia, Burundi, and Rwanda should be “strident warning to all of us.” “Let us spare some time to reflect and to mourn all those murdered in the ongoing needless killings across our dear country,” he said.
4. Ezekwesili Knocks Buhari Over Democracy Day Speech
Former Minister of Education Obiageli Ezekwesili has described President Muhammadu Buhari’s Democracy Day speech as full of “factually incorrect claims.” Buhari said on Tuesday that his administration had improved security, stabilised the economy and erected infrastructures since it came on board, May 29th, 2015. However, Ezekwesili,who reacted to the speech via her Twitter handle, wondered if there was no one at Aso Rock to verify the claims made by the President.
5. Omokri Lists Buhari’s Democracy Day Lies
Former New Media aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, has accused President Muhammadu Buhari of lying to Nigerians while delivering his Democracy Day speech. In a series of tweets on Tuesday, he said Buhari had broken the Guinness World Record on lies.
6. Christians Forced To Sit For Arabic Language In Police Recruitment Test – CAN
The Christian Association of Nigeria has called for the cancellation of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board recruitment test into the Nigeria Police Force because Arabic language was made compulsory for Muslims and Christians. The body demanded for another test within 72 hours otherwise it would embark on other measures to seek redress. President of CAN, Rev. Samson Ayokunle, said it would be wrong for President Muhammadu Buhari, who swore to defend both the Christians and Muslims alike, to turn around and allow his appointees divide Nigeria through their actions.
7. Offa Bank Robbery Suspects Make Mind-boggling Confessions
The leaders of the robbery gang that struck banks in Offa in Kwara on April 5 are reported to be making startling confessions. The robbery led to the death of more than 30 persons, including policemen and loss of millions of Naira. According to a reliable source, a dismissed Corporal in the Nigeria Police, Micheal Adikwu, lead the operation. He confessed to have killed over 20 people, majority of them policemen.

9. Police Discover Illegal Gun Factory In Benue
An illegal local gun factory has been uncovered by police operatives in Oju area of Benue state. Commissioner of Police in the north-central state Fatai Owoseni on Tuesday led his men to the site of the factory located at Amyuwogbu-Ibilla in Oju. He said the factory owner Abi Odah was arrested alongside his son, Kingsley, and one other Thomas Ode, alias Tommy Tommy.
10. Buhari To Receive W/Cup Bound Eagles Wednesday
President Muhammadu Buhari will on Wednesday receive the Super Eagles contingent for the 2018 World Cup in Russia. The meeting was earlier billed to hold on Tuesday evening but will now take place today at 10am, just before the commencement of the weekly Federal Executive Council meeting. Minister of Sports Solomon Dalung will present the team to President Buhari, hours before they fly to London aboard a chartered aircraft for another pre-World Cup friendly with England on Saturday.
